Bougarabou drums are traditional instruments from the Jola people of Senegal. They are similar to djembes but they come in a goblet shape and are strung with natural cow hide skin. As part of an African rhythm section they are very popular with drum circles wishing to provide a ‘full sound’. Our bougarabou drums are all produced by master craftsmen, are beautifully carved and produce deep warm tones.
