Rainsticks

Rainsticks are thought to have been invented in either Chile or Peru and they are played in the belief that you will be able to bring about a rainstorm. The pleasant sound of falling water that they produce is the result of tiny beads bouncing off sticks that have been placed in a spiral pattern inside the sound chamber.

We have small (60cm) and large (120cm) Rainsticks that have been crafted from mature bamboo and finished with wonderful traditional carvings and paintings. The fabulous Rattan Rainsticks are covered in a cloth featuring a delicate rattan lattice and are available in either red or blue.
